“ Went here a couple years ago, keep meaning to back, such lovely staff when I went !! Got an amazing smoothie and had a lovely chat with one of the staff about the tooth fairy haha. Definitely recommend as a catch up spot for friends or for a date ! Food was delicious too ! ”
“ Loved the coffee I had here today! The lady on deck was so warm and friendly and offered great service. It’s in a cute little building on a street corner near Fremantle Arts Centre and is a standout for decor and atmosphere. My coffee was made quickly and had some gorgeous chocolatey notes. ”

The coffee is absolutely fantastic, my go-to is a soy cappuccino!! The friendly staff truly make the experience special; they ensure every customer feels like a valued friend. In short, Broody Hen is a lovely place for coffee lovers and foodies, offering an experience you won’t forget. I can’t recommend this delightful spot enough! Enjoy your visit! ”
“ I recently had a fantastic experience at Broody Hen Coffee Shop. The atmosphere is so cozy and welcoming, and the staff are incredibly friendly. I tried their unique vegetables boom dish and it was absolutely delicious and tasted so fresh. For dessert, the banana cakes were a highlight—they were moist, flavorful, and clearly homemade. It's the perfect spot for a casual meal or a coffee and treat. ”
“ Coffee, patisserie and chia pudding were good. Service was fast and the place looked cozy. ”
“ Still loving the coffee here. Always a warm welcome and the food is delicious. The new balcony adds shade. Can't wait for the vines to grow. ”
“ Grassroots. Just opened. WOW! The owners personality is right through this place. It is unique. The vibe and location is perfect. Set on a main intersection the traffic actually seems like inviting entertainment out their large front window. Sister team working and well, no more to be said. They are the consummate professionals. Fremantle respect on the wall and "the broody hen" ha maybe that's her. Sparkling and still water in tap!!! Wow good thinking girls and free for customers.. this is magic! Toilets clean and smell wonderful. The place has a great vibe, original design features and a large open table for newspaper readers! This place is very exciting and if it can be consistent will gain a huge following and quite possibly rival it's busy neighbour Gesha to the breakfast crowd. The food, I took away a pumpkin wrap for my ms, and I get a toasted roast vege sandwich with feta - couldn't not have been done better - perfect. Sister rates her sister owner's coffee. Ordered long mac traditional with almond milk - sorry tough coffee (coffee aficionado drink in my opinion - so it's a tough to get right) beautifully extracted, milk perfect, presented in a little tin cup awesome! But... there's a but... not hot enough. Tip: need to hear cups, check machine temp, froth temp (almond milk may have a low burn point I don't know) that's a good start. I did feed this back to sister. Fremantle visitors and locals you must not miss this place. And even a play area for the kids! Parking good. Sparkling water in tap! That says it all. Consider: jazz bar by night ”
